Profile:

British classical cellist. Born in 1965.
He studied at Yale University with Aldo Parisot, and later with Anthony Pleeth and Jacqueline Du Pré whilst gaining his MA in Medicine and Anthropology at St. John's College, Cambridge. He held the position of Principal Cello in the London Symphony Orchestra from 1995 to October 2019. He joined the Orchestra Of The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in November 2018 (effective from the commencement of the 2019/2020 season) as Joint-Principal Cello. Member of the Trio Balthasar.
